UWC Maastricht has a part-time (0.6 FTE ) vacancy for a Teacher of English Language Learning in our Secondary School You will participate fully as a team member in the academic department of ELL, consisting of 3 teachers and within the whole school. You will work, on average, three days per week. The timetable is to be decided. The job We are looking for a qualified and dynamic ELL Teacher for Secondary School (ages 11 to 18) to join our Student Services teams. You will mainly work with our DP students, age 16-18. At UWC Maastricht the Student Services ELL specialists are responsible for the beginner to intermediate English language development of the students in their care. As well as meeting the language needs of the students, respect for their languages and cultures and their social and emotional wellbeing is an essential part of this role. Collaboration within the Student Services teams (ELL, Special Educational Needs, University Counsellors & Counsellors) is expected. In the wider school community, collaboration is also required with the respective Heads of Year, Heads of Department, Academic Coordinators and the Leadership Team. Offering guidance and support to teachers to meet the language needs of the students in their contexts is also an important aspect of this role. Terms of Employment / Remuneration You will get a temporary contract of employment under Dutch law: the initial contract is until August 1, 2025 and can be renewed after that. According to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education ('CAO VO'), the package will be commensurate with the position's responsibilities. The applicable pay scale is scale 10 in the CAO-VO, between € 3031,- and € 5030,- gross per month for a full time position, depending on relevant experience. Participation in the school's pension plan via the ABP Retirement/Pension Fund. Support in the application for the '30% Facility for Incoming Employees' with the Dutch Tax Authorities (if relevant).
